The Spring Seed Swap at Room Service is a relaxed, inclusive event featuring live music, refreshments, and, of course, all things garden! Attendees are invited to bring their own seeds to share, as well as other homesteading endeavors: kombucha scobys, cheese and yogurt cultures, sourdough starters, to name a few. No seeds are required to attend – all are welcome, but pre-registration is requested.
“… [A] great setting... food, people, music all exactly what I needed,” said 2017 attendee Derrek O’Hara. “Seeing old friends and meeting new ones, plus getting some new seeds and learning a few things... wow, just wow... thanks again so very much.”
Juan Giovanni will return with live music and Culinary Unleashed will once again provide food for the event, with desserts by Boaz Café. Representatives from the Cleveland Seed Bank, Wake Robin Fermented Foods, and Rust Belt Riders will give interactive demonstrations next door at Passenger’s Café. Attendees are encouraged to bring any used kids’ books as a donation for the Kids’ Book Bank, a local non-profit that puts books into the hands of children in need.
